Which Accessories do you have for your Q/Q10?

I was originally using a Sony Cybershot bag to fit the Q in with a couple of spare batteries.

When I bought the Q I already had a Pentax/Cosmicar 25mm f1.8 c mount lens.

Since getting the Q I've added the following C mount lenses:

2.5mm fixed aperture (no name)
3.6mm f1.6 Computar
4.8mm f1.8 Pentax/Cosmicar fixed focus
6mm f1.2 Pentax
6.5mm f1.8 fixed Tamron fixed focus
6.5mm f2.5 Elgeet (D mount)
8.5mm f1.3 Computar
12mm f1.2 Computar
12.5mm f1.8 Pentax/Cosmicar
(2) 25mm f1.3 Computar
25mm f0.95 Senko/Navitar (aperture stuck wide open)
50mm f1.8 Computar

A number of the above came in bundles, the (2) 25mm Computars came with the 25mm 0.95 were one bundle, another was the Computar 3.6,8.5 and 12mm... I really just wanted the 3.6 out of that bundle. The lenses sold in bundles seem to sell for less money than just a single lens by itself.

(6) C to Q adapters so I can leave them on my favorite lenses for quicker changes and so I can really dial in the lenses (esp. the fixed focus) by shimming them if needed
(6) Q rear lens caps
(6) 40.5 lens caps (common size for C mount lenses)
D mount to Q adapter
Nikon AIS/G to Q adapter

(3) aftermarket batteries
aftermarket IR remote
40.5mm ND8 (for the F0.95 lens in bright light)
Voightlander Kontour viewfinder

I reused a Domke F5XA to hold the Q w/01, filter, batteries, Kontour and 5 or 6 of the C mount lenses.

Wow, that's quite a range of lenses for the Q! I'd love to see a mass review/summary of those and how they do on the Q.

Picked up two extra batteries, gotta have em for this camera

. I plan on adding a q/k adaptor. I should probably get a screen protector, as this is totally a take anywhere, everywhere camera so I don't want to have to worry about babying the screen.

I tried bidding on some Tele-Wide viewfinders on eBay but always got sniped. Some were going for $45-60

Then I found that the viewfinders were originally for rangefinder cameras - duh. They often were packaged with twin screw on adapters for the lens - wide and telephoto, hence the name of the viewfinder. I started looking at Yashica lens kits and found several that included all three pieces with a case. Many are going for around $30-35

Mine arrived today and the finder is in perfect shape, looks great on the Q, and fit like a charm.

Just thought I'd share so if others are struggling in bidding this option might help.

Now, what to do with the 2 Yashica lens adapters and case? Hmm.......

Mine looks like it was never mounted to a camera before. Other than a bit of yellowing for the glass its brand new looking.

The yellowing/gold sheen is present on all, I think it helps with the brightline display possibly? Anyway I think it looks cool.

Seeing that I brought up Gorilla Pods, and I know most people shy away from them. I took a couple of shots to show the strength of the one with magnetic feet. The first two might make your heart skip a beat, and Don't try this at home. Take my word for it, there is no tricks involved.

This is the Q, the Pentax Adapter and the DFA/WR 100mm macro, hanging for dear life. If it falls, the lens is shot, likely the body not to mention the wifes glass top stove.

This one, umm.. again don't this at home, or Anywhere for that matter...

Street shooters that would generally find a tripod not street friendly can stick this thing to any metal pole or sign around, you might get a few wtf looks. But you might get a few shots you couldn't get before.

Actually, as you could imagine, those 2 were very hurried shots taken with a K5. With a native Q lens I feel 100% safe leaving just leaving it stick there as long as needed.
However, thanks for reminding me I need to order an IR remote for the Q. I never needed one for the K5, I had a wired remote with a coiled extension cord if I need a little distance.

There's one in the accessories section that goes for around $5-7 and is terrific. Two button model that just works and takes a pretty standard CR2025 battery as I recall.

I've got a cheap chinese gorillapod knock off (no magnets), all my night shots in the pic thread were taken with it. It's useless with a "real" camera, but great with the Q. (Together with a remote, of course.)

It comes apart in my hands regularly when I try to reshape it, but it goes together again without fuss. I'm sure the real thing is better in this respect, but I don't really mind.

No idea why people with light cameras should shy away from them.
