Wow, I don't shoot a Q but unless the iq is really bad, what's to lose with an 80-250mm equivalent f2.8 for 300 bucks?

Yeah, pretty good. The 02 zoom is the same price but that has a variable aperture of 2.8-4.5 so hopefully the 06 will be even better. I should have mine tomorrow!

Who did you get yours from? B&H had it, then it was gone in like a couple hours.

I ordered from B&H this morning. I believe it says it is in stock now.

Thanks. The indicator has been bouncing back and forth since yesterday morning. Sounds like they had a bunch of pre-orders, filled them, and had a few left so it went back up as available. Congratulations, I look forward to your comments on it.

yep, was out of stock last night after I read it was in stock at B&H...checked again this morning and they were back in stock! I promptly ordered, just received the email that it shipped a few minutes ago. Should arrive Friday...i'm pretty stoked!

I was getting pretty stoked as you say. But. I'm becoming baffled. Pre-ordered, pre-paid with a store credit 3 weeks ago and my order status has been showing in stock sent to warehouse since yesterday...

Tried chatting with sales but they couldn't help, CS is closed already.

Grats on grabbing one, have fun on Friday

Good luck. They tend to be pretty good about getting items out in the order the sales were made.

Yeah I've never had issues in the past, this would be the closest. I'm not in a huge rush to get it, odd it's stalled in the warehouse. Hopefully somebody doesn't get a 06 with 2 receipts in the box

I hope not. They've been crazy there the past week. I got some SD cards I ordered on Thursday today but some other things haven't shown up yet. The 06 was in stock for about 3 hours, out of stock for around 18, then back in stock. I think its just a Black Friday - Cyber Monday zoo there.

This lens looks pretty cool. But I'll now have to wait until the Christmas bills are paid for before I order one. But I will own this lens early in 2013.
