Some news about Pentax Adapter Tripod Foot

Just ordered mine - took 3 minutes - I had to go to Customer Service first, where I got the direct Parts line. The CS rep was very nice and helpful and knew just what to tell me. Thanked me for having the Part# at hand.

Linda (I think) in Parts was super friendly and got a kick out of how I heard about it. She will ship tomorrow. If this is any indication of what we can expect from Pentax Americas in the future I am encouraged.

Thanks be to crewl1 and LaurenOE for providing the leg work and Part# farther up the thread.

I can feel tripod work in my future - lots of K lenses yet to test!!

Finally I will be able to use my adapter in more situations!
I didn't like taking it off my DA*300, as the risk of me forgetting to tighten things up would spell disaster!!!

Anyone hear anything yet? They should have shipped UPS Wednesday the 6th.

I will have mine tomorrow.
I got the UPS confirmation from UPS - and not Pentax.
They were shipped on 2/6/2013 from Commerce City, CO, United States and they left at 11:54PM that night.

Believe me, Pentax is no worse than other service - parts depts.
I recently sent in some PA equipment for warranty service and called to find out status - rep said it was done and I would get an email with shipping info.
A few days later the item arrived.
A couple of days after that I got an email with the tracking number.

Finally!!

Obviously not retail packaging, direct from Pentax parts - but it's in my hands!

(I also have a spare, that is still wrapped)

Now my K to Q adapter has a dedicated tripod foot without having to use the one from my DA*300!

Oh yeah...bring on the SMC-A porn!!!

This should have been the Q release promo shot - with the tripod foot released at the same time!!!
Who cares about "toy" lenses!?!

Now I can use lenses that do not have a tripod foot with my awesome K to Q adapter!!!

How beautiful the SMC-A lenses are with the classic lines of the original Q.

She must have shipped all three orders the same day. I'l do some K lens prOn after dinner. I especially liked the stapled Kraft paper lunch bag with the little part inside.
