I haven't gotten down to fine tuning with my F 35/70 yet, but plan to soon.
This shot with the 01 prime.

And with the 35/70 at 70mm, and probably f/5.6, 400 ISO.
Un-touched jepeg from camera.

I love this little lens on the K5, and 01.

Thanks for all your input folks.

Please be sure to use the Advanced Reply form for your review so that the name of the lens can appear at the top of your post in bold letters.

Makes them easier to find if I am just scrolling through, and also lets me know which to add to the index vs just a discussion post.

I'm looking forward to comparing the F35-70 to my Tokina 35-70. I'd be interested to see some teleconverter comparisons too. I have a really crappy 2x tele that I can't get to make a sharp image to save my life, and I'm interested in finding one that's reasonably priced and reasonably sharp, especially on the Q.

Charles.
I have a few teleconverters but I didn't try any of them. I was having a hard enough time with some of the longer lenses because I had the target mounted on a living room wall. I had a few where I couldn't get the whole target in as it was, let alone 2x longer! And I had to put my Takumar 300 F4 on an extender tube to get it to focus close enough to fit in the room. I guess after I determine what my sharpest 28mm was I can try that on the teleconverters.

One thought, the list is starting to get longer now so maybe it's time to categorize in some way. Maybe by mount is sufficient?

That looks fairly sharp. I looks like it's got a little PF though. How did it look at 100%?

I'll be honest, I use Picasa and don't know how to save an exact 100% crop.
I can use the slider to view at 100%, and crop with the crop tool.
Here is a pretty heavy crop.

I'm not use to enlarging this amount, and identifying PF is pretty new to me also.
This limb shot, at 70mm, looks pretty clean to me.

I'll also be honest and say I haven't kept any notes, and not sure if I took these with a tripod, or handheld.

It looks clean to me too. Very nice as a matter of fact. I thought I saw a hint in your original post but maybe it was the way the fine detail showed on my monitor. I'm at work so I don't have the greatest monitor in front of me right now

Good point. Will work on a new format.

Revuenon 200mm f3,5 M42

Pentax Q and Revuenon 200mm f3,5 M42 To EOS to Q.

f3,5; nothing to see here, heh.

f5,6

f8; ok, but not great

Crop of above. Shutter-time was 2sec, so little noise comes from there.

Just a slight PF on the bottom edge of the branch pointing 30 deg down at the left center out to the left edge.

Actually the lens looks sharp enough at F8 but it looks like there is a lot of diffraction glow instead. Not the best I've seen though, a lot of the cheap ones will be bums on the Q I guess.

Impressive from 4.5 and looks like a solid one.

Shanti,
The tiny Zuiko lens looks like it belongs on the Q, it's really "Qool" Do you find F8 to be the sweet spot with 50 1.8? Also do you think this lens is hand hold-able or strictly for a tripod?

Pentax 35mm Ltd Macro

Cross posting from the other thread. I am in love with the Q + 35mm Ltd Macro combo. It gives a pretty usable reach but also gives stunning macro results. All these are taken in RAW with a bit of WB and color adjustment in post, nothing too major. No special equipment, just the good 'le Q + Fotodiox adapter + 35mm. The aperture ring on the adapter is 3 or 4 clicks in.

I found focus peaking to be useless for me. The 4x focus assist is so much easier and reliable to use. Glad Pentax gave me that choice!
