Another set from the Industar-50 (Collapsible). Should I be just updating the post where I originally added photos or can we add extra sets. Perhaps adding a 1,2,3 after each set? That might be too much work on your end but let me know.

I believe these were taken at .5 of a second at 125 ISO.

I would think that adding to the orig post would be best, also adding any additional information that would help in using the lens. Maybe putting your best images with a lens on the orig post when better images are achieved.

Agree with Hans. This way the user can click on the link in the index to see all of the info and samples in one spot.

Phoenix/Cosina 28-210mm f4.2-6.7

This one is a big surprise. It has some PF on my Kx and K01, so I expected it to be awful on the Q. But... it wasn't that bad. At 28mm it's soft no matter what you do, but at 210mm there's little PF even wide open. It's soft like a purpose-made soft focus lens wide open, with a glow to bright areas and fringing that gets mixed into the glow. One stop down, the glow is reduced and some PF comes through, and two stops down PF is all but gone. At the tele end, this lens performs much better than expected. It's slooooow though. If you want the sharpest photos you're limited to f8 on the aperture dial, which corresponds to approx f11.

What I learned today: do *NOT* try to use the fotodiox K adapter along with an m42 adapter (infinity-type -- Pentax genuine or not) to mount an m42 lens on the Q. Nothing but trouble -- don't try it. (The non-infinity type would work ok I think.)

Buying the fotodiox m42->q adapter for $12...

I've used a non-infinity one with no problem. I did this even though I have the "correct" adapter because the m42->Q adapter doesn't have a tripod mount.

Yeah, non-infinity one is basically the same as mounting a lens, but the flush ones just sort of spin around in there and very difficult to get out (the aperture ring mechanism on the adapter is causing trouble I think). I'm sure I can rig something up for the tripod if need be -- wouldn't be putting anything too huge on in m42...

I have not had any problems using the Pentax M42 to K adapter on my fotodiox K adapter??? might be because I removed the spring in the 42mm adapter back in the 70's and keep it permanently on my 42mm mount lens.

Wow, I may have to re-try my 80-210 Sears, I had written it off long ago
