I updated the chart just in case you may have had a problem, I didn't see the Tamron in the K mount area but now see it in Other, oh well no harm done, everything worked.

Hans
Thanks Hans.
I was able to update once Adam fixed the site issues but wasn't sure where to put adaptall.

Sears 135 f2.8 Macro K mount

I dragged out my old Sears 135 f 2.8 Macro lens and the OEM Q2K adapter, It's not bad, first 2 shots @ infinity last at Macro mode, all shot @ about f4.8 (between 4 and 5.6) Macro is a little soft.

Sears 80-200 f4 zoom macro

Shot with the OEM Q2K adapter at f5.6. The lens seems a little soft @ 200 but quite sharp @135-80 range The first shot @ 200, 2nd @ 80 and the last 2 using Macro mode.

Thanks for the contributions and updating the index Hans. Too bad about that Sears 135 in the macro setting - maybe it can be used to take glamour shots of spiders?

It's not good at all for Macro but usable @ f5.6 for normal distances, I just posted it because It's not bad on my Kr and they are available cheap.

I don't think you can do anything to make a spider look good except to other spiders

Hi all,

I have been sucesfully using the Q with a fotodiox adapter and a M 50 mm 1.7, also with a Sigma 70 mm 2.8 Macro, but cant get aroung getting a decent moon shot, I am only trying hand held, but I think I should be getting something more decent anyway.
Any sugesstion on camera settings?
I appreciate your valuable help

Use a very stable base. Most tripods aren't very stable. Make sure the lens isn't fogging -- this often happens on a summer night. Use a fast shutter -- the moon moves surprisingly fast. Don't stop down too much -- try f/5.6 to avoid excessive diffraction softening. Check your histogram -- all too easy to overexpose the moon.

I found a group of m42 SMC Takumars 300 f4, 28 f3.5, and 200 f4mm last week. Fotodiox m42 adapter. This is a first attempt with the 300 on a rolled up pair of socks tripod on the left wing of of the table saw today. Focus and lighting will always be a work in progress. If anyone knows of a replacement tripod mount for the 300, I'd appreciate your knowledge.

Good work lukelele.
Depending on the diameter of the lens it may be possible to use a mount such as these, which you can get in different diameters.

Thanks Larry,
$100 for the three and the 28 and 200 are mint. I spent the evening on ebay looking at ring mounts and the 66 seems to be closest so far. Eyeball on metric rule appears to be about 53mm. Maybe my machinist neighbor can mill some hubcentric inserts.........?

I have the 200 f4, nice lens, needs to be stopped down to f5.6 or f6.3 for best results. I use mine with a Pentax 42mm to K adapter on my Pentax OEM K to Q adapter, should have my Nick Fan tripod adapter tomorrow.

Not sure about the fotodox adaptor, but I found that the pentax Q/PK adaptor works well with either the sigma 70-200/2.8 tripod mount, o the canon. 100/2.8 macro tripod mount as long as you line the mount with about 3/16 inch of leather.

Sigma 150mm 1:2.8 APO MACRO DG HSM Nikon F mount.

Metal contacts on back of Q 01 prime lens @ 1:1 with kenko extension rings: 12mm,20mm,36mm combined.

I also used 2 Nikon Speedlights (SB-700, SB-910) in SU-4 mode triggered by the Q pop up flash.

Nikon AF 50mm 1:1.8D reverse mounted onto Tamron 70-300mm SP Di

The main picture was taken with the 50mm Nikkor reversed onto the 70-300mm Tamron.
It's a 0.2 gram piece of gold I found earlier this year in Victoria, Australia.

The inset shows just how small it is. Inset photo was taken with an AF-S Micro Nikkor 40mm 1:2.8 G.
