Because of the way its adapted mount is recessed it achieves infinity on this set up.

Nice shot. I shoot in M mode so I can control the shutter speed and ISO myself.
The aperture can be controlled by the lens or the adapter depending on type.
Sweet spot is usually trial and error and I would not leave it up to the camera in auto to figure it right.
