i posted this in another spot but since i used the da 300 with the pentax adapter not sure if it should go here...got this on sat in the park...still need more time with it but happy with how these turned out...the nice thing about bluebirds is that can sit longer than some other birds which helps when you are trying to manually focus
Shutter speed 400, ISO 250, using pentax q-k adapter setting 1.5-2...non cropped, slight adjustment with brightness, no adjustments to anything else

Great shot Amy. Seems like you are getting comfortable with the Q, I look forward to your shots.

In this thread we are adding reviews of lenses tested with the Q, so give us your feedback and preferred settings for any you would like to add to the list.

From the first page "Information that each Lens Review should have: description of your results, recommendations for best use, specific adapter brand or source that was used, and a sample image so a user might see what to expect."

Pentax-M 100mm f/2.8

I haven't gotten around to properly testing the M100 on the Q. It's really too long for me. But here's the same shot at four apertures at least. Exactly the same processing, which includes some sharpening.

Here's the full size image.

f/4 seems best. f/2.8 has quite a lot of PF.

Looks good at F4 and if fringing is more critical than absolute sharpness F5.6 looks like the way to go. Nice comparison!

Bell & Howell Super Comat 1 inch f/1.9

Got the Bell & Howell Super Comat 1 inch f1.9 for my Q. It is nice and compact. There is some ca and softness at 1.9 but is very good from 2.8.

the first is a size comparision with 01 prime and the second is a shot of the prime at 2.8 iso 125.

That is a classy looking lens. I've love to see a shot of it on the Q!

Needed the pen to support it. The lens is heavy, for its size, and easily tilts the camera forward.

Da300 f4 pentax q-k adapter

still not getting home in time for decent light...used the pentax q-k adapter set to about 1.5...iso 500mm shutter 1/15...i actually was planning to shoot a picture of the top of the dog house because i couldn't find any critters to take pictures...i realized once i focused with the 300 there was a squirrel...a few pictures with the rig and the squirrel...not too bad considering the low shutter and high iso

That came out fantastic Amy! And thanks for showing the gear setup photo - I always like to see the gear, plus it shows the actual distance from camera to subject.
