Thanks everyone for their contributions, I just had a chance to update the index. Sorry for the delay, and thanks Hans for pitching in.

Just a brief reminder for those contributing reviews:

Information that each Lens Review should have: description of your results, recommendations for best use, specific adapter brand or source that was used, and a sample image so a user might see what to expect.

When creating a review use the "Go Advanced" reply link so you can put the lens name in the reply title and it will appear in bold letters at the top of your post.

Thanks folks, and keep em coming.

Computar 8mm f1.4 (fixed aperture) C-mount

Bought this on a whim for $6 on eBay. Here's what it looks like:

Pretty tiny... Definitely a lot smaller than the 02 zoom, and it's a nice "pocket" lens. Build quality is excellent. All metal with butter-smooth focusing. Focusing is a piece of cake using focus peaking with this lens.

Here's some quick test shots:

It's decently sharp with a halo effect around highlights. I suspect this is due to it's 1.4 aperture. A lot of fast lenses exhibit the halo effect wide open, which disappears when stopped down a notch. Unfortunately, you're stuck at one f-stop with this lens, so you get what you get. Under the right conditions, I can see it being a cool effect, though. It's got that "dreamy" thing going on. It also covers the whole frame with no noticeable vignetting. Thanks to the 1.4 aperture, you can get some shallow DOF action going, too. Contrast is a bit low, but easily bumped up in post. Thanks to the fast electronic shutter on the Q, you can shoot with it on a somewhat sunny day outdoors at ISO125. I don't think the shutter could go fast enough to handle snowy conditions in bright light, though.

Definitely a "character" lens, I imagine I'll be using this one for low-light night walkarounds & indoor shots. It's only real flaw is a non-adjustable aperture. For $6, I think I got my money's worth. :-)

Not bad looking. For $6 how can one gripe? Hard to buy a filter for that amount of money. Good find.
thanks

The Q is fun.

smc Pentax 1:2.5 200mm

Pentax K for Q Adapter set at f/1.0 f/8 on lens, M Mode, ISO 640 @ 1/50 EV +/-0

I know the f stops are screwy but that's what I could get to work. There's about a foot of snow outside (totally unexpected) so I shoot this from my family room all the way across to the end of my living room. The porcelain figures are about 10" tall so you are seeing about 6" of visual height at 55 feet (about FL 1116 according to PhotoMe). I also did the K105/2.8 and K135/2.5 but they were incredibly noisy. I'm still learning. I wouldn't call this representative due to my lack of skill with Q, but I'm pretty impressed with the lens, nonetheless. Lightroom a bit of denoise and also a bit of unsharp mask - not much. No exposure adjustment. Resized in PSE.

Pentax 110 18mm f2,8 Q/110 adapter.

As GTM's Computar this is a fixed aperture lens at Q, stop slower though. Size is very tiny, I have to take comparison shot between 5D2+Sigma 150-500 and this set side-by-side. I think my battery grip is bigger, ha.

So, two samples. I'm quite satisfied, considering it's... it's.... well the works.

nikkor-s 50mm 1.4 @ ISO 125 - F stop: 2.8

Fast lens and very sharp in most cases. Bokeh is strange because it is not a direct light source. It is sprinkles of water hitting a puddle.

Haven't used at night but I will give it a try tonight. Very compact, lightweight. Robust design.

Excellent shots Amy!
Can't wait for the goldfinch to get back to their summer colors.
We have a large river birch tree, and before long it will be filled with goldies feasting on its seeds.
Hope my skills with the Q are up to the capture task.
(boy are their highlights easily blown out though)

I have learned to shoot at about -1 exposure with the Q to prevent blowing out the highlights. The files can be brought back easily enough if needed.
