Carl Zeiss 32mm lens I removed from a scrapped microfiche machine, adapted to the Q. Macro only.

Oh I love this lens, to me is priceless. the colors are deeper and the bokeh is just beautiful. But I would think this lens is very rare, it was designed specifically for old industrial microfiche machines in the 1980's.
When computer archiving arrived they junked the machines. And when I saw Carl Zeiss written on the lens I just had to remove it from the machine.
So I don't know what kind mount it is. The lens is small (about the size of 110 24mm lens). I'ts a screw mount with a ring nut at the end ot it. It can be used on K mount or any SLR mount. I just drill a hole on the body cap for the lens and tighten the nut. For the Q I found a bottle cap that fits the 110 adapter and drill the hole in the cap.

"Night Out" - taken with Wollensak 13mm f/1.9 at f/1.9 and 3200 iso. I like this len because it has focus ring.

Hi Jacob, it sounds like a really interesting and unique lens - are you able to post a photo of the lens, I would be interested in seeing what it looks like.

Made of metal. It has aperture control, but no focusing ring. Sorry about the poor lighting.

Pentax/Cosmicar 8-48mm f/1.0 on Pentax using C-to-D mount. Len is a C-mount version. This len version I have have auto-aperture control so I uncovered the cover and pull out the auto-aperture control and I can manually control aperture but I almost always shoot it wide open.

Kodak Ektanar Len 50mm f/2.8 mounted on Nikon body cap mounted on AI-to-C adapter. Picture taken with Pentax Q + Cine-nikkor 13mm f/1.9. This len was on 35mm camera.

Fujinon TV Zoom 12.5-75mm f/1.4 C-mount on Pentax Q using C-to-D adapter. Len is a C-mount.There is no vignette (considering the equivalent 35mm-210mm focal range, which is great for mild wide angle to mild tele), and the len is really sharp. The len comes with auto-iris so you will need to remove the wires

hi all. i have the photodiax adapter with lock<->open slider and just played around with DA10-17 fish eye and M-50mm 1.7.
both looks "ok", here i give one with the fish eye (at 17mm, handheld at room lighting, iso 400) but there are couples questions i want to ask:

1. on the adapter i have to keep the slider to "open" is that correct? if i move slightly to the lock direction the picture will be darker.
2. has anyone dare to bring Q and only pk lens (or lenses) for travelling/holiday? or too risky and better put the original Q lense (i only have the number 1 lens)?
if so please recommend which one i have to bring:
M-50mm 1.7
DAL 18-55mm kit
DA 18-250mm
DA 10-17mm
Sigma 17-70mm 2.8-4.5

1) the slider is to control the aperture, darker means closed. Normally you mount open and then you might close just a little bit to get more depth of field. Closing a lot (going to lock) will probably ruin the pictures on the Q, however I guess we are just waiting till someone uses this creatively to create better art then others.

2) It will be easier to work with the 01, seeing what it can do, I would take it. It depends what you want to do, for the others:
10-17 is still OK for walk around, covering the normal range in 35mm FOV equivalent.
Above 17 you will be in telephoto, so the subjects and the technique changes, you will need to keep your camera more still and go for small subjects on larger distance.
