OK I hear you, cleaned up the matrix sorted the xls file and commonized the titles. I think that common lenses will now be listed in order.

Also updated index

Kern-Paillard SWITAR 25mm f/1.4 AR C-mount

This is a little marvel. It's just the right size for the Q, if a little heavy (heavier than the 06). Beautiful mechanics. The front rotates with aperture selection, as I think all the old Kern-Paillard lenses do, but other than that it's perfect. And it comes with a magical DOF scale too:

Nine aperture blades.

Wide open it's glowy.

But that's just wide open, stopping down half a stop would have made the lights look normal. It only has click stops at the full stops, but it's easy to set it anywhere you like.

f/2.8

f/2.0

Very pleased with that last one actually. I think I'll go post it in the photo sharing thread too.

Edit: This was shot on the original Q, but it will cover the newer sensors without trouble, because it's designed for 16mm film (the original and smallest 16mm format, but still bigger than any Q sensor).

Tair-3 4.5/300-A 300mm on Q

This beast looks crazy on the Q (image here)https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/attachments/43-gatherings-events-groups/2...gp4928shdb.jpg
Bought it and a helios 44/2 58mm for NZ$100 ($US80).
Excellent colour coming through but heaps of ca.
The wild NZ native pidgeon is sitting in my cherry tree about 15 metres away.
Modest sharpness at f5.6 and pps quite well.

Soligor 400mm Tele-Auto 1:6.3 on the Q

I have had this lens for many years and have found it capable of quite good images on the K30. But at the end of the day it is not that useful and spends most of its life parked up in a draw.
It was interesting to compare it with the Tair 300 I reviewed the other day. It is important to note I used the soligor at f8 and the Tair at f5.6.
I feel the Tair was superior with distant imagery. But the fern frond came out distinctly sharper with the Soligor.
Both had raging CA. (Spot it in the background of the black bull)
Closeup work (Wisteria) was extremely unpracticable with the 400 --- the lens would be more use as a baseball bat than a close up lens.

q10 - mto 500 f8 + zeiss 2x teleconverter (no coatings version)

i don't know if this is to be posted here, even though it's video it doesn't exit the topic "adapted lenses"

this was just a quick test with a witty tripod, with the normal fotodiox adapter.
unfortunally i cant seem to upload the 720p version, but still:

Pentax Q10 Type-00 + MTO 500 + Zeiss x2 teleconverter

Also:i have movie SR off but yet, sometimes the sensor seems to shift.. could this be from the witty tripod?

Cooke Ivotal 13mm f/1.4 . Len is neither c-mount or d-mount, so you need to come up with a mount. Len performs well wide open and makes a decent portrait low-light len. One of the few rare 8mm cine lens.
