Looks excellent. Tamron makes great mirror lenses.

Adapted lens table was updated

All, I just updated the adapted lens table, thank you everybody for your submission and sorry it took me so long (~14 months).

Rick, I put your Tamron 55B SP 500mm/8 mirror submissions under 'Q7 and Q-S1 other mount" category, assuming (from exif) that your Adaptall adapter is not K mount. If this is incorrect please let me know.

Canno lens on Q

I have been using a zoom lens, the Canon-FD 35-70mm f 3.5-4.5 Macro. It provides a good clear image and is flexible as a zoom but a little difficult for hand-holding.

Yes, it i s not easy to get it (aperture is star-shaped only on a few settings), but I definitely like it.

Is this the lens, and is that a good price?

Yes it is that lens, no that is not a good price. You can find them for less than $100 shipped, with case and filters if you are patient and have good search skills.

There are 2 models, older and newer, "B" and "BB", the older has a tripod mount. It's said to be slighty better at infinity (but no proof), the newer is better for macro. (Pseudo macro).
Your sample seems to be excellent.

Schneider-Kreuznach Makro-Tele-Xenar 75mm F2.8

The Schneider-Kreuznach Makro-Tele-Xenar 75mm F2.8 is a C mount lens, unfortunately differently from the lenses in D mount his best aperture is not that wide but is 5.6 even if is not bad more open, because of that and the fact it is between my two sharpest K lenses as focal I put that with them.

The SMC Pentax 50mm F1.4 is very soft and with many color problem at F1.4 and so is completly unusable on this small sensor, at F2 is a bit less soft and don't have color problems, at f2.8 is good without color problem and quite sharp and at F5.6 is very good.

The Schneider-Kreuznach Makro-Tele-Xenar 75mm F2.8 is quite sharp at F2.8 but present some color problem, at F5.6 is very good.

The SMC Pentax-FA 100mm F2.8 Macro is soft at F2.8 and at F5.6 is very good.

As a Macro the Schneider 75mm reach only a 1:2 ratio and if compared with the Pentax 100mm at the same ratio both do their best at 5.6 but probably the Pentax is slightly better, at higer aperture (4 and 2.8) the Schneider 75mm is clearly better than the Pentax 100mm, at lower aperture they do not have many different optical quality.

A good thing of the Schneider is that is fairly small and so easy to bring in wathever occasion.

The photos are
1 and 2: Schneider 75mm at F5.6 and a crop at 100%
3, 4 and 5: Pentax 50mm at F1.4, F2 and F2.8
6: Schneider 75mm at F2.8
7: Pentax 100mm at F2.8
8 and 9: Pentax 50mm at F5.6 and a crop at 100%
10, 11 and 12: Schneider 75mm at F5.6 and two crop at 100%
13, 14 and 15: Pentax 100mm at F5.6 and two crop at 100%
