Are you saying the camera is wrong?

Mode 1: "Activates SR at the moment of capture only(uses less power, but live preview not available)

As I said it is very easy to tell that SR is not doing anything at all on half shutter press. Like the camera said… live preview not available, only at the moment of capture. IOW, when the shutter fires. The delay you are complaining about is the delay for SR to actually spool up and activate when you fully press the shutter.

"I'm not going to be using large adapted lenses with the Q. I see little point in buying the worlds smallest mirrorless camera that fits in your pocket only to turn it into another system that needs a bag with accessories."

You are missing some of the unique advantages of the Q then. A tiny 50mm f1.8 C mount lens (that can still fit in a large pocket) becomes a camera with an effective FOV of 275mm, still at f1.8. Macro lenses get in very close… true telephotos give enormous reach...etc..etc.
