All 5 sold two minutes after I posted this. . .Wow -- they went quick! At least it's good to know that JJC is making them. . .

Thanks for the post Snostorm.
Ha ha I don't even own an 06 yet and am going to buy the hood because, well, you know how it goes

I have a credit voucher at Crutchfield I want to use but just waiting for them to match the $250 price at B&H.

Hi Larry,

They must have some kind of auto update -- Now it shows 4 available, 6 sold, and they've pushed back the expected delivery date to the US by 3 days from when I placed my order just before the original post.

Hi All,

Just an update on this item. I received mine yesterday, so it took about 11 days from when I placed the order to get to Chicago from Hong Kong.

It's about 33mm deep, and a bit thicker than JJC's hood for the 02 zoom so it doesn't feel nearly as flexy. It fits via bayonet, and reverses for storage.

Nice!

Great news Scott - so glad to hear it will reverse mount for storage.

I ordered mine on the 15th, so maybe I will receive mine this week.

I am waiting also for my hood, ordered when you posted the announcement.
I guess I need to buy a matching lens to go with the hood?

Received my hood today. My wife was impressed by the "cute little package" it was shipped in......

Perfect quality hood as with my other JJC purchases.

I just ordered one. Which cap size fits the end of the JJC hood? They should offer the hood and cap as a package.

You flip the hood around and use the original 06 cap for storage.
It is bayonet mount and attaches in both directions.

Even better, thanks. Now I just have to wait a month for the slow boat from China. I've been using the Pentax 01 hood on the 06 lens. Better than nothing, but not adequate.
