Here is the link to download manuals, in English, from Pentax Japan. There are no manuals for any of their lenses on the site.

Operation Manuals Download : Support & Service | PENTAX RICOH IMAGING

If you are interested in the specifications you can go here:

I think the basics are in the main Q manual.

there are instruction manuals

my 2 lens kit came with the instruction manuals for the 01 and 02 lenses. are the manuals even rarer than the q itself?

Interesting, mine did not. They aren't on the Pentax Japan site's download area for manuals. I wonder if it would be possible to scan them in as PDF documents and make them available more widely?

Hamtaro, I too would be grateful for a scan. I have an 06 on the way and will check to see if there is a manual.

Thanks Hantaro and Docrwm! I'll do the same with the 06 manual, if any, when my copy arrives.

That would be great. Perhaps we can get a sticky on the Q forum for scanned Manuals given that Pentax's official site doesn't offer them?

The knock-off is not meaningfully different from the OEM hood and I have one as do many others here. It's actually a VERY nice metal hood that works incredibly well IMHO with the exception of the screw on cap. Many have either put a small rubber band at the base of the screws for the hood to limit the need to turn, and turn, and turn, and turn it to get it seated securely or have, as I have done, bought a $1 pinch cap in 25mm for it.

25mm pinch cap! Brilliant! And I still have $1 of unused eBay Bucks too.

Thanks Docrwm!

No problem. I just double checked and the one on my Q is marked 25mm inside - I have them for my 40 Limited too and needed to make sure I hadn't mixed the two sizes up. You need a 25mm one.
