Are there any tiny, good, cheap 50-ish lens for the Q

After using my Pentax A & M 50s on the Q, I'm finding it a good tele length. Thing is, I'd like a smaller, good & cheap lens in the 50-55 range. I've been looking at the Industars, but the M42 versions require a bulky adapter (I might as well use the K mounts I have with the Fotodiox adapter) and the M39 versions may or may not fit a standard M39 adapter because of the variations in the M39 mount for Russian SLRs that were different than the standard Leica M39s, which they also made.

Then there are the cheap C-mount 50s from Fujian & Fotasy. I know they get soft around the edges on micro 4/3rds cameras, but with the smaller sensor of the Q, how do they perform?

So... Any ideas for a cheap, small, good 50 or 55mm for the Q?

Cheers,
Bob :-)

Giiby, the m39 Industars made for the Fed (rangerfinder) series (NOT slr) will fit Leica Thread Mount adapter and is about as small as you'r gonna get..

The other option is the A110 50mm + 110->Q adapter which is def more compact but the total length will be about the same.

Either way you're looking at about $50 depending on the deal..

Is there a way to visually tell the Leica from the slr version? A lot of them are advertised as m39 but don't say which version they are. Plus, I doubt a lot of the sellers know the difference .

Hello

I tested the Pentax K50mm f/1.2 and it give bad halos full open. Closed to f/4, it becomes good but you lose the aperture interest.

For the moment, my favorite is an old Sigma 50mm macro AF that give stunning results. A macro lens should be capable to out-resolve the tiny sensor. It is not so evident with other lenses, particularly low quality C-mount lenses.
