Extended warranty for the Q

Would anyone know why the extended warranty is not good in Florida?

You just don't understand, they need to protect you because only Government can make such decisions........

BTW I just checked with Pentax, they will honor it in Fl so I will have my daughter buy it in NY and mail it to me. Crazy, eh?

idk .. if the warranty explicitly states it's not valid in Florida .. that's official and in writing! Shame though ..

It only states that it can not be sold in Florida. No violation.

To revive an old post... The Q that should be arriving today was an etailer fulfilled by amazon. I'm assuming then PROBABLY not an official authorized retailer. Does that make a difference as far as warranties go, both the initial 1 year and if I were to want to purchase the 2 year extended?

Probably best to get on the chat line with Pentax support and ask them directly.

That was a good call. According to Randall S, regardless of the actual seller, Amazon is considered the vendor for warranty purposes and is an authorized dealer, so the only other concern is that it's purchased new and the 30 day rule.

So, yes, I'm good to go, and so is anyone else buying new on amazon. Thanks for steering me to what should have been the obvious source

There is a new warranty that covers K, Q, and P&S cameras on the same card for $19. Adorama currently has them:

Yep, that's the one I purchased right after I posted here. It's actually currently "back ordered" right now. Humorous
