I kinda goofed but I like it.

Just got my Q today. Brand new. Good price but it came with the zoom by mistake. But hell it is tons of fun. I will eventually get another one with the 01 prime, but for now, rock on!!

You got the landscape lens at least, it's pretty good at 5-7mm. One more that thinks the Q is just fun to use and not a pimped compact that no-Qluers think.

Welcome to Q ownership. Your other cameras will now get a rest. It doesn't matter what lens came with the Q. They are all a ton of fun. You have had it for less than a day and already want a second one. WOW.
thanks

Enjoy your new Q and the Florida weather, I am down here also enjoying my Q and your weather. I wouldn't be doing much outdoor shooting in Michigan

Good for you - you opened your mind and you get it!!

This is the most fun I've had in a while with a camera. Can't wait to travel with the 01/02 Kit in a 3.5x4.5x6.5 Camera bag -- and have room to spare. Florida, here I come.

If you are going to Florida bring some adapted telephoto lenses for all the birds.

Birds - sure!! Babes? Nah. I'm Way too old for babes.

Besides, my wife .....

Did I mention I HATE to fly? I HATE to fly. And I abhor carry-ons .

And then there's the 55~300 or 200/2.5, and the converter, and the tripod and ......

OWTH -- why not just tke a dSLR?

The point of a Q on a trip like this is the IQ / Space ratio.

a big 10-4 on the babes, I'm at that age too, and I loathe flying, but........
one adapter, plus one nifty-fifty = about 275mm for whatever comes along.

Well OK then - I'll see your 50 and raise you a 105.

I remembered the plan is ..... 2 Q's, 2 Optio bags (1st Q = 2 lens kit; 2nd Q = perma-converter sled).

Going to the beach today. I am fine with just the Q and the 02 zoom. I have a whole slew of Nikon manual focus lenses. F to Q adapter in the offing?
