I doubt Newegg, or whoever is doing the Groupon deals, actually had thousands of Q kits in stock prior to discontinuation, waiting to be closed out. These deals show up, sell out, then show up again. This is clearly inventory that Pentax/Ricoh USA is dumping, and using these outlets to do it. The prices are still being set by the vendors to make some profit...
Absolutely. They're also pulling stock in from overseas given the time lag between the selling out and restocking. I really wonder what we will see coming from Pentax-Ricoh that has been developed without Hoya influence.

I got in the the Groupon deal with the 01 prime lens. Is it worth dealing with the reselling hassle to get the 02 zooms lens or should I just save my money for the 06 lens, which I heard is pretty good?

SteveM;2266488]Newegg.com keeps trying to take me to "newegg.ca" where it is $349. Anyone from Canada try to purchase from the .com site?

Doesn't work, they always take you back to Newegg.ca

Got the ShopNBC deal - now I want an 01 lens. Missed the groupon deal. Hopefully another 01 deal comes up.

Q 2 lens kit

got my Q as the 2 lens kit for $699 New Zealand dollars. As the 02 zoom sells here for a recommended retail price of $655 I thought it was a good deal at the time.

Find a proxy site in the US and go through there. If you don't know how just google it. That'll make them think you're in the US. Of course it may still fall through when you try to ship to a Canadian address .

I have a big green egg, the charcoal barbecue!

BTW I got one too. I wish it came with a prime lens. What is that zoom lens worth these days around here??

okay I caved (wife fell asleep...). I got in on the Groupon deal with the 01 Lens and realized that I really can't find a better deal for the 02 lens. Now to go through the hassle of selling the body since I need to recoup some of the damage from the last month

Delete your browsing history first. Worked for me.
Couldn't resist, ordered my second q. Does anyone know if they ship USPS? I only have a PO Box number for a US address.

Crazy prices. I was excited when I got my Q with 01 for $299 last year!
If that was available in Australia I'd jump in too, the 02 lens alone is more than $189 here...

Too good to pass up, just purchased the combo. Thanks OP, as usual, PentaxForums is filling in the marketing gap for PRIAC.
