Difference between focus-peaking and focus-assist

I'm still trying to understand The difference between focus-peaking and focus-assist. Can anyone explain that? Or have a link to a good explanation?

Focus assist digitally zooms into a selected area of the picture so you can see it better to focus.

Focus peaking shows a bright outline on the objects in focus so as you change focus the highlighted area changes.

I love them both. Especially on the 01 Prime in aperture preferred. Gives me all the touch and feel of the old days without dealing with film and chemicals.
