This is still my opinion.
I now have the Pentax but wouldn't have an issue using the Fotodiox for long lens, tripod mounted applications where the tripod is attached to the lens ring.
The Pentax adapter gives advantage in:
-handheld applications where the shutter helps avoid jello effect
-applications where you need to use flash at higher than 1/13 second
-where you need to mount a heavy lens without its own tripod mount, the Fotodiox tripod foot is not to be trusted
For best results make sure to paint or otherwise coat the internal surface of the Fotodiox to eliminate reflections.
