Hopfully if there is a problem with V1.11, V1.12 can fix it

The zip file just downloaded to my computer from here.
But I'll hold off using it for now.

Have anyone of you discovered a new bug or something? As far as I can tell I only see positive improvements.

No bugs so far, but a huge increase in focus ability.

Maybe they took it down because it was resetting the camera to default, which was a tiny bit inconvenient. They even warned users to write down their settings, I think.

I did think it was a bit of a pain to rebuild the settings on my "converter" Q - I can't imagine what the guy who has four would feel like.

Folks are mentioning how the AF has improved with the new firmware and I agree, but what AF setting are folks using as their day to day use?

Since the DOF is so huge, even at f1.9 with the 01 standard prime, I have had no problems with the 25 point auto select. It is also easy to manipulate into a different shape and size by pressing OK and then use the wheel and and buttons to manipulate. However I use spot for closeup work because I have had a hard time getting a lock, at least with firmware 1.10.

Out of habit I use spot (not the adjustable focus area function). Where necessary I focus and recompose, as I have for 40 years (!). I guess that doesn't really do anything on the Q, but it doesn't hurt anything either and I'm accustomed to it.

I do link AF point and AE when appropriate or de-link, as appropriate. I most often multi-meter.

See it is temporarily unavailable. Worried now .....
The English warning is quite ambiguous:

Latest PENTAX Q Firmware Update : Software Downloads | PENTAX RICOH IMAGING

"We are sorry to inform you that the software version 1.11 is temporary not available."

The Japanese version is more explicit:

PENTAX Firmware Update Software for PENTAX Q????????????????????????????PENTAX RICOH IMAGING

ただいまファームウェアVer1.11に不具合が見つかりましたので = we just found a bug in the firmware version 1.11.

一時ダウンロードを中止させていただいております = we will cancel the download for the time being.
