Thank you Gibby!

Thanks to GibbyTheMole's excellent review, and his other favorable mentions about the Promaster (Cosina) 100mm f3.5 macro lens, I bought one.

I had a saved search going on eBay.
A MF copy popped up, in mint condition, with the box and papers for $95 including shipping.
And it has the 1:1 adapter!

Got it yesterday, and tried it on the K-01 at 1:1 with mixed results, since there is obviously a learning curve to using a macro.
Today I played with it on the Q (1:1 adapter off) using a Fotodiox adapter, and Wow, love it!

Keep in mind, I'm an amateur photographer wannabe, shooting jpegs, adjusting in Picasa, and these were grab shots.

More or less normal view of my neighbor's chimney.

Straight OOC, 160 ISO, f5.6

Same settings on the rest, with minimal contrast adjustment.

Thanks again Gibby!

Glad you dig it! I'll never get rid of my copy. It punches well above it's weight, in my opinion. :-)

For $95 you did well! Word's getting around about these & the price has gone up since I got mine for $60 here on the forum.

Ok, thanks, been looking for a good/cheap macro lens since selling my DA100wr. I bought one in MD mount to use on my NEX.
