Once you go Q...

So I picked up my K10D today after two weeks of playing with the Q and the weight and size was absurd. I like big camera with plenty of grip and heft, but after the Q, I just don't know. Once you slap a FA77 on it, the K10D is like holding a brick. A metal brick of steel.

So what about the rest of you? Anyone else have trouble readjusting to APS-C-body life?

Sometimes I carry both my K-30 and my wife's Q-10 and the Q is so light that I forget that I have it around my neck

I shot the Kr W/18-135 today for a Volleyball game captured some nice action shots, The Q isn't made for that type of stuff, but the image count is increasing faster on the Q than the Kr

I'm so scared of playing with a Q for fear in that it will make my current K10 (and stupid amount of glass to go with it) redundant.

I'm protecting my investment by purposefully ignoring it The Q that is. :P

The Q can use your other lenses with the K-Q adapter.

I have 2 Qs. The first one has the standard zoom and then I bought another with the prime (it was the cheapest way to get the lens). They are great, but image quality can be a bit poor at times and the zoom is really slow focusing indoors. I almost always shoot with the prime. I love the controls and menu so much that I sold my micro 4/3rds cameras and bought a K-30 with a 16-45 f/4.

The K-30 is such a fine camera that I was thinking about selling my Qs. I cleaned them up and returned them to their boxes, but never sold them. I finally unwrapped (again) the Q and 01 prime for a family event yesterday; it was a pleasure to work with.

We have been saving for a trip to europe and are leaving tomorrow. Now I am leaving behind my 28mm f/2.8 lens to make room for the Q, 01 prime, and 03 fisheye. The K-30 is too fat to use with anything other than a large tripod, so going with the Q and a small flexipod for night work. What a great little camera, so easy to lose track of that simple idea. Now if Pentax could see their way to releasing a wide angle similar in quality to the 01 prime...

My favorite from yesterday.

I know what you mean.
I never shoot beyond 100mm if I can help it, but I have boxes of 645 glass I use on my K10D and it's all going to waste, not to mention the k mount glass sitting around.
