Anyone have 2 or more Q's?

If so how do you have them setup?

1balck, 1 white. Bought one new and one on the Forum from a member who bought it at the Deal prices for the 01 lens. I have the 01,,02, 06, Q<K Converter and Tripod Foot.

#1 is carried with the 01 and hood mounted and the o6 (preference) or 02 in the bag.

Usually M Mode, sometimes Av or even P; 2x Focus Zoom, Peaking, Histogram, ISO Fixed or Auto 800
#2 is carried with the Converter and Foot mounted and the 02 (preference) or 06 in the bag
Always M mode, 4x Focus Zoom, otherwise same as above

4. One for me, one for my wife, and 2 spares.

I most often shoot in Av mode with natural color profile. Of the several lenses I have for the Q, the 02 is my most used.

One black and one white. The White was on a killer sale at KEH and is in great shape. I have the 01 on the Black and the 02 on the white but often move the 03 onto the white one. If I get the 06 it will be 01 and 06 as my outing lenses for their size and reach.

I have 2.

#1 is my long lens cam and has the Pentax k adapter, red dot scope and bracket for the lcd hood permanently attached.
Setup is jpeg, 2 sec delay, M mode, ISO125, aperture via adapter and shutter speed variable. 4x focus zoom, power save - off, 3 minute auto off, nr low,

#2 is my compact kit cam and goes everywhere with me in a small bag that has the 01, 02 , 03 lenses and Tele wide VF.
Usually running Av mode, AF, auto ISO, auto NR. With the 03 I use focus peaking.

I also have two, set up similarly to crewl1's. except:

#1 (black) is my adapted lens cam, mostly Av mode, auto ISO 125-1600, no shutter delay, Focus Peaking (usually no focus zoom), in-camera sharpening at -4. Most common lens so far is DA 55-300, followed by D FA 100 Macro, FA 50 f1.4, Canon FD 300 d4 L.

#2 (white) is my compact everyday/everywhere system cam. 01, 02, 03, 06 lenses. I use the 01 mostly, with a Leica Brightline 50 accessory OVF, second is the 03 FE, and third is the 06 tele zoom. I usually carry the cam and lenses in jacket pockets in cooler weather, and in a camera vest in warmer weather.

I have two, both black, one being used, one unused in box.
Also have the 01 and 02 lens, plus a Fotodiox adapter.

1 - 01 Prime
2 - 02 Zoom

I also have the 03 Fisheye

One camera with either the 01 or 03 hangs around my neck as I ride for shots on the go.

One camera with the 01 or 03 is used to take rigged, bike-to-bike photos

The 03 Fisheye is used to take moving selfies.

The 02 will likely be used mounted in or on the side of a car to shoot moving video. The Q's HD IQ is much better than a GoPro.

Hi John,
Based on comparisons with my son's GoPro2 and my Q, I have some problems agreeing with that.. To my eye the Q produces poorer quality footage than the GoPro.
What are your settings when using the Q for video?

You may be right. I've shot nearly everything but the GoPros (ContourHD, Contour ROAM, CamONE Infinity, DriftHD) and the Q is better than them all in terms of IQ. For example:

From what I've seen online, some of these other cameras beat the original GoPro, so I was thinking if Q>Camera X and Camera X>GoPro then Q>GoPro. But your first hand experience is more credible than my math.

From the looks of it, the newer GoPros have moved the game forward.

Nice video, but what is that thing you're driving around that they are mounted on? It has a center mirror and two windshield wipers!

I have two, a white and a black. The white one is my go everywhere camera, usually with the 01 lens and the Pentax optical viewfinder, great for street photography. I also carry my 02 lens, I don't use a bag for this except for storage, I just use my pockets for the various bits and pieces, much more discreet, people seem not to take the white one seriously.

My second Q (black) is my 'experimental'; camera with a bellows attachment, microscope and telescope adapters. I also made a Pentax 110 lens adapter with aperture adjustment, not too successful because I couldn't get passed the 1/13th of a second delay, It's also my long reach camera with a Pentax Q-K adapter and red dot finder, with the cheap adapters same 1/13th of a second problem, too many rejects for me, the shutter in the Pentax adapter makes a world of difference, no rejects.

All usually in aperture priority, but I also use Manual Mode for video and manual flash photography, I use bracketing for HDR (3 frames 2 stops apart) a lot, the Q is very good at it.

I've also used it for time lapse video and once attached to my friends quadcopter shooting video - brilliant, got to do that again.

Chris

I just bought my second from a forum member. His price, with the 02 zoom, was too good to pass up. My other Q I bought body only and I figured I should get at least one lens. I gave the white Q and the 02 to my wife to use. It dances circles around her Panasonic p&s in terms of focus, shutter lag, etc. I think the panny might take better flash photos on auto mode, but she is not missing shots because her camera is too slow. I would like to get her the 01 for indoors, but it is too expensive.

The black Q has been mated to a 200mm/2.8 for birding, but I haven't been able to give it a serious go yet.
