Latest MAP effect on the Q

Anyone know what the MAP price is for the 06 lens? It was selling regularly for $250ish and now is $296 at the big online retailers. Amazon lists its Retail Price as $349! But I went to Pentax Imagings online retail website and this is what I found.

You can find it for $230-250 if you dig online and go to places like NewEgg. That will NOT last long and B&H and Adorama already have it at $296.

$599... This price hike seemed like it came from no where? I saw the Fisheye price went down a bit so I was going to wait for this one to drop too. The way they are pricing Q I wonder how long I can stick with it.

Wow....I paid about $180 for my 06, new and from an authorized retailer, about 6 weeks ago......I should have bought their entire stock, at the time.....

(Ducking). I felt guilty paying $229 from Emmy through Amazon.

Off to check prices and click "buy" for anything under $300... yikes!

On the plus side, that means that the $650 Canadian price for the Q10+02+06 kit is now something like "a free camera and standard zoom when you buy the long tele."

Is that really the price, or is it a typo? I mean, the MAP price was $249, and if it went up to 299, that's reasonable, but 599 looks like a typo to me.

That'd be pretty annoying if they keep having these typos (on purpose) just to get people rush out and buy stuff...
