Adapter Q for K mount multiplication factor?

I'm looking at the Q-10 and the Adapter Q for K mount and its multiplication factor. At first sight it seems as if it multiplies the focal length of a lens with a factor 5.5 (as advertised), but my conclusion is that it is actually 1.0 x.

The Pentax USA website says about the adapter:
... "Extra-powerful super-telephoto shooting is obtainable with the 5.5X focal length multiplier achieved with K-mount lenses on the Q camera body. For example, the PENTAX DA* 300mm F4 ED[IF] SDM telephoto lens can be used as a 1650mm super-telephoto lens (35mm equivalent)."

When I only look at the lenses for the Q-10 I see for example (Pentax Germany):
Toy Lens Wide 6,3 mm / 7,1, 35mm equivalent is 35 mm.
Toy Lens Tele 18 mm / 8,0, 35mm equivalent is 100 mm.

So, the multiplication factor for these lenses is 5.55 to get the 35mm equivalent.

Can I conclude that the Adapter Q for K mount multiplication factor of about 5.5 x is based on the differences in size of the sensors between APS-C and 1/2.3" and not because of its optics or its extension relative to the sensor?

Yes, the adapter itself does nothing to multiply the image it is all the sensor equivalent. Take a look at the super zoom threads in the Q forum for more information.

Perfect. My head is buzzing with conversions between FF (FA lenses), APS-C and now 1/2.3" and sometimes I loose track.

No problem. FF = APS-C x 1.5ish FF = Q x 5.55

Which means that my K300 on my Q = ~1665mm
