It is a good lens, but it sounds like mine may be better assembled than some. It's important to remember that this is a telephoto lens, shutter speeds need to match the equivalent FOV, i.e. 80-250mm = 1/80s to 1/250s. The tulips were waving in the breeze. Maybe I should have used a higher speed than 1/500s, but I wanted to keep ISO down.
I exchanged a Pentax Q to K-adapter for the 06 lens. No regrets, the results with the 06 are superior to any of the fine K primes I tried. I like the compact size, and having AF is a very nice feature. I did end up buying a third party Q to K, with tripod mount and aperture ring, then I ordered a second one with neither feature. I don't expect I'll use them much, but it seemed wrong not to have the capability.
