Took another route for my bike commute home from work.
Lots of CA, but its a fun lens to use.
Just wish that Pentax did a proper fisheye (but within $300, please)
The Q system is such a joy to use (and so versatile with the lens options).

The oddest thing happened with my exposure bracketed shot with Q7 and 03 though.
All the shots had different crops and ended up to be unusable for blending.
I think its a firmware bug..

Very dramatic composition pinholecam. Love the image. Bummer about the crop issue with the shot brackets. One 3rd party Raw converter doesn't crop. Was it Raw Therapee? If I remember correctly crewl1 posted shots showing examples. Might try running your brackets thru that program. It gives a wider field of view.
thanks

I had been planning on the 03, but the 8mm FE for the larger cameras went on sale first
Great images here, really like what the Q can do with this one!

I just came back from a long trip. The Q with the 03 came along. Out of 1800 photos I kept, 275 were from the fisheye!

My favorite thing to do with the 03 fishy was SELFIES!

Of course, I took a lot of non-selfie pictures too.

The 03 has a tendency to really blow out highlights. Thank goodness it allows me to shoot in RAW.

It was a really fun combo and a lot of people really liked it. It's an essential part of my kit now.

Thanks for the tip.

I do have Raw Therapee on my PC.
It works very well w/o the pre-crop, managed to process the 3 frames with the distortion correction I wanted too.

Thanks all!

Today I was buying a lens off someone. We got to chatting for a bit. I had the Q + fisheye with me. He became curious about it, had a look. Said he was going on a vacation this holiday and wanted a small camera to take along. I took a shot of us sitting at the table with the Q. Then I showed him the pictures I posted on this thread.

He was impressed. He started asking me how much for a Q, and where to buy it. I told him that the Q7 would give slightly sharper results, but he could probably find an older Q for cheaper. Then he mumbled something about having to convince the wife if he could buy it.

So here's a neat trick: If you don't have a data plan, keep some of your cool shots on your phone so that you can whip them out and show them to people on command.

Anyhoo, I hope I sold someone into the Q system today.

Hey jezza323, nice photos. It took me a moment to realize those first couple were Toronto, my home town. I haven't used the 03 for street photography much, but those came out very nicely -- monochrome was a good choice for those. Also the cathedral in quite stunning. (Very accurately titled I might add; you seem like you could be a local!)
