Q's ND filter setting

any one know of a way of assigning the nd filter on/off setting to one of the camera buttons ? so as not to have to go into the menu ?

You could set it to "on" and save as a user mode

Hi dh4412,

If I had occasion to change to and from using the ND filter, I'd probably use the Info screen. The highlighted selection stays in place, so all you have to do is hit the Info button, then rotate the e-dial one click to change the ND from on to off, or back to on. The Info screens in newer Pentax cameras is always the place I go to see if there is a quicker way to change some settings -- very well thought out, IMO.

Yes, the Info button is the best way to access settings on the fly without drilling through menus. I've been using it since buying the K-7 when it was released. So it's a natural thing for me on the Q and the K-01.
Once the setting is changed on the info screen, just a tap on the shutter button and you're ready to shoot.
