I coudnīt resist

All this talk about the new Q7 - and what did I do ??? Have just pressed "buy" on a Q+02 lens for 295 USD - Donīt start shouting - Iīm from Denmark and as you might know prices are normally x2 times here compared to the US...(so I DO think itīs a bargain) I just coudnīt resist. Think I will be a good addition to my K-01.

Just wait until you have it in your hands! The original Q has a much more "premium feel" than the Q10 (and probably Q7). No idea if it's better built or will last longer, but IMHO a full magnesium body goes a long way toward feeling like a "real camera" and not a disposable P&S. (And yes, I've used the Q10!)

Congratulations. I still like the original Q better than the Q10, but the Q7 seems like it might be a significant enough upgrade to overlook the plastic body.

Sounds like a fine deal to me. I paid more for the Q + 01 and have loved it ever since. Enjoy it and see if, after a while, you also want a Q 7, which is what I'm going to do.

Target is selling the white Q + 02 lens for $249.99 (online only, I believe).

+1

Definately.
And really, the IQ of the Q7 is going to have to be jaw dropping if it wants a chance of place in my Pentax stable.

Congrats on both Q cameras - you'll love the 01 lens. As far as needing an additional battery - I figured I'd use one camera but they are so small, I just carry both cameras which cuts down on the number of times I change lenses. So I still felt I needed extra batteries (and so bought 3 extras). Hope you have as much fun with your little darlings as I'm having.

That's awesome! You're going to love it. I just picked mine up the other day. I'm in love. The most fun I've ever had with a camera.

I have 2 bodies and 6 batteries total. There have been outings where I was on my last 2 batteries in camera when we finished. Wasabi offers solid batteries with a very nice charger for around $25 for 2 batteries and the charger. Well worth it IMHO.

I honestly can not tell any difference between the OEM Pentax and the Wasabi batteries unless I look at them. In use they are equivalent in my experience. Their charger is much nicer than the OEM Pentax because it is smaller and has fold away prongs so it travels better too.
