If you want to use the Pentax adapter,
a black body gives the best match.

However, white body, black adapter,
M42 adapter, and one of those East German zebra lenses
could be a striking combination.

If only the lenses were black, then an all black combo would've been nice, but I chose the white one to go along the silver lens(es). We'll see how I like the looks once it arrives..! BTW, the prices are getting pretty reasonable, got mine for 150 from SRS..!

If I did have a choice, i would have chosen Black.
Yep. Some of the other colors of Pentax cameras are cool looking, but I've just always been a black camera kinda guy. One reason is, I don't like to draw attention to myself. Black is stealthier. Plus, it's just the classic camera color.

I bought a white K-x to make it look less serious. I bought a white K-01 for the same reason. When I update my K20, it will be a black camera, because I want my main body to look more serious. I chose a black Q, because the tiny body needed a bit of gravitas. The size makes it discreet, black helps it look like a serious camera, despite the size.

I really get the James Bond reference above, so slick and capable. I'm not feeling much Q7 pull at all. A black metal body is something I value more than a tiny performance boost, and only Q has it.

The silver with black trim looks good with the silver/black trim lenses in the promo shots.

I think brown works with silver or black as well:

Those are Q7 colors - the Q comes in only black or white.

Sorry, the question of colours made me assume the Q7.

Technically black and white aren't colours so the Q doesn't actually come in any variety at all.

I have both the black and the white, the white has a slight advantage in street photography, people assume that a white camera is a toy and ignore it.

Technically (in sceince) white is a colour, in fact it's the presence of all visible colour..
And technically (in print, paint etc), Black is a colour..

That said, I like my cameras in black or black/silver.
