How's the IQ on the 01 wide open?

I'm considering picking up an 01 at some point for low light shooting... Just wondering how the IQ is on the 01 wide open. Anyone got any examples? I know most lenses get softer wide open & I'd like to have the extra speed, but if the IQ isn't there wide open I won't waste my money.

Or maybe there's a good fast 8mm C-mount or something out there I could pick up used?

Thanks!
Bob :-)

It's decent. Here are some samples:

Mine is wide open much of the time. It is sharp, even Photozone thinks so:

"It is very "sharp" across the image frame even at max. aperture."

"The Pentax-01 Standard Prime 8.5mm f/1.9 is capable of exploiting the sensor to the max even at fully open aperture."

Excellent! Well... that makes my mind up. When I get some $$$, an 01 it is. (if I can find one.)

Thanks, guys! - Bob :-)
