Q is doing something differently after firmware update.

My Q would always display a yellow pattern on the lcd when the lens cap was on. It was a circle centered on the screen with horizontal lines running to the edges of the screen. It has done this with every firmware.

Always thought it strange that in a totally dark environment the screen would show a pattern. Today I notice the screen is totally dark. So firmware 1.13 has changed something. Haven't seen this mentioned by anyone else.

I've only ever had a dark screen, at least that I remember.

Same for me - though the marginal indicators were always there for me.

The update must have reset the show dark/bright area option.

Adam is correct. Thought I had reset everything after the update. My circular pattern is back. Doesn't anyone else see this with their Q? Tried it on a demo Q10 and there are yellow specks on the whole screen, but no circular pattern - interesting.

The Q is fun.

Thanks everyone. This is difficult to photograph. Don't think the pattern is all there at the same time. Shots I took don't show the pattern very well. Going to try video next with the K-01.
