Tripod foot for genuine Q-K adapter

According to the review of the genuine Q-K adapter there is no tripod foot included in the package. Where is a good place to get one? Have Q users made their own instead?

Thanks!

The Pentax Webstore maintains a supply of the Genuine Article (Part #41132) at a 100% markup. We all bought ours from Parts at half this price before Denver twigged to what we were doing. It is typical Pentax over-engineering and sort of a work of art in itself.

From time to time someone offers a Tripod Foot on the Forum Marketplace when liquidating a Q kit. Try looking there first. Here's one!

Also, consider this Fanotech third-party tripod foot arranged by Forum Member Panoguy. I don't have one because I haven't converted to Arca-Swiss yet.

Get the Fanotec one instead, with a long plate. It's a wonderfully made product that's Arcaswiss compatible, slimmed down and very secure. The long foot is great for adapted lenses on the Q as you can get better balance with longer lenses than with the original foot.

If you don't use Arca Swiss you can still buy the Fanotec clamp by itself, it has a standard 1/4 tripod thread.

But still, the plate can be good for balancing the setup.

Thanks for all the replies! I sent Fanotec a message here through the forum asking to confirm what he has in stock. Hopefully I will get a positive reply and place an order.

Since the Pentax webstore isn't operated by Pentax, has anyone recently tried ordering the foot from the parts department? It might still work. I need to check out the Fanotec foot. When introduced, it seemed a little complicated to place an order.
thanks

I placed an order yesterday for LF-1 + LP100 + LP70 + Rounded Flange and it was pretty straightforward , worked OK.
that's what I did:
"To order multiple items, just pay individual items with shipping. I will do a partial refund for the combined shipping."

If you go back a few months, I purchased an EBay foot for the canon 100/2.8 macro, and lined it with thick leather. Fits perfectly around the body of the Q and you have the advantage that you can rotate the whole thing 90degrees. The original foot leaves you in landscape orientation

Cost a whole $15

P.s. the sigma foot for the APO 70-200/2.8 EX (non DG non macro )works too not sure about later sigmas
