Q and AF-360FGZ

I have a Pentax Q and have been trying to get a Pentax AF-360FGZ external flash to work with it, but the photos are either too dark or washed out. What are the proper settings for the camera and the flash? The owner's manuals are useless.

You should be able to get P-TTL to work with the Q. Make sure you set your flash to that mode, and also make sure that the camera has a lens with a leaf shutter, as otherwise flash sync cannot be guaranteed above 1/13s AFAIK.

Okay, thank you for the help, Adam! Is the Pentax "02 Standard Zoom" for the Q a "leaf shutter" lense? That is the lense I used the most. The other lense came with the Q, the "01 Standard Prime." Is this a "leaf shutter" lense?

Yup, both of them are so you should be in good shape. See if you can get the flash to work properly, and if not, definitely post a reply- there are many other Q users that know a lot more about flashes than I do
