New here-just brought a Q!

Hello all!

I have just taken the plunge and brought a Pentax Q from ebay. Had a good look around first and settled on a listing which comes with the prime 01 lens, a two batteries, UV and polarizer filter, Pentax K lens adapter,spirit level and remote shutter release. Got it for £140 GBP (approx $224 USD) that was with the shipping costs so I think i got a good deal?

Soooo exited to get it in my hands now, but have to wait a few days for it to get to me.

So Hello everyone! and I do hope you will be a good listener to all my (no doubt) stupid questions when it does arrive

As you can judge by the big cult around this small camera there is much to like about it!

Welcome to the Qlub! You're in for some serious fun! After you get acclimated to your new Q, you'll probably want to pick up the 03 fisheye sometime. It's a killer lens and a blast to shoot with.

The more I hear about this, "fun," the more I want me one of these...
I'm at odds with the Samsung nx300, though.
Plus, my wife is gonna lose her mind if I get another camera...

Greetings uberj! Welcome to the Q and forum. You got a great deal on the Q package. You are going to have so much fun.

Make sure the Q has all the latest firmware updates. They make an incredible difference in Q performance.

Yep. A night & day difference.. seriously! Especially in the autofocus performance.

The NX300 with some pancakes would probably be my choice for a bigger sensored camera, a wonderful package!

The Q is so small, she doesn't even have to see it. If she sees it, you will have to buy a second one. Post some pics if you get a Q.
