Birding with the Q and 06 lens

On a recent trip to Ontario I left the K5 at home and just took the Q. It will never replace the K5 but for a lightweight carry around it does a very decent job.
Here are some of the results:

Beautiful! What lens are you using? A k mount with the Q to K adapter?

This is a great example to show that it's the skills of the photographer, and not the camera, that makes a great photo.

Hi Jeff and thank you. These ones are from the original Q

Thank you Hans, one has to get used to getting a lot closer than with the "big" lenses, took me a while.

If you're talking about Heinrich then I agree.

Given that my shots were all taken at about six feet or less, my "keeper" rate is way too low with the Q. I prefer something with a viewfinder but the Q has its place too.

I too was using the 06.

All shots are jpeg from camera with no PP except resizing.

And another shot I missed earlier:

Great shots Heinrich! Now I know to bring the Q7+06 combo outside with me when relaxing on the deck.

My last shot on the deck was with the fisheye.

Impressive captures Heinrich. Amazing detail. The 06 is not a super long lens, making these results even more spectacular.
thanks for sharing

Very nice Dave, I've never tried the fisheye on macro, got to give that a try.

Thank you dear sir for the praise, the Q is fun. Last month I went for 3 weeks to Germany and yes I did leave the K5 at home, just the original Q and 4 lenses. I'll post some when I get time to process.

Take care,
