Yellow/Aqua Q7 featured on Fab

Fab is a bit of a hipster site -- its motto is "Everyday design." Apparently the Q7 is trendy! At least in Yellow/Aqua...

The navy & black one is sharp. The yellow/aqua one makes me want some eye bleach.

It was less an endorsement of that particular color group than my excitement that the Q system is getting noticed outside of our little group and Japan. Who knew we were so hip?

Your street shots are what's its all about crewl1, people! Which q camera are you using? I'm just now starting out, and truly find your photo's excellent!

Thanks plages.
For those shots i have used a mix of cameras including K-x, K-5, original Q and most recently Q7.
I try to use wide angle focal length if possible.
For the Q I like to use the 02 zoom at the wide setting.

Crewl1, thank you for your response, and may I ask if you're please with the Q7, it's weight, and quick response? As a novice, and not wanting to lug around a large camera, just two lenses, the 02, and the 07 might be all that I require. May I also ask where you purchased your Q7, brick and mortar, or on line? I reside near San Francisco. I can only hope over time, that I can come close to your talents!

No talent here just dumb luck
The Q7 is a much snappier performing camera and has better image quality than the original Q or Q10.
Since I got it I have not taken the Q out very much, that's how much I like it.
You will like the Q7, it fits anywhere and is super light.
I don't know much about the 07 but the 03 is fun to use.
The 01 prime is a real nice lens also.
I bought the Q7 from Adorama on line.

If you please, just two more question, does the battery charging unit require a cable, or like my Canon S100, drop in the battery, and plug the unit into the wall socket, and can you order the Q7 in differing colors?

The Pentax OEM charger requires a cable. There are many third party chargers and batteries available for the Q, most of those are the type you describe with the flip out prongs.
A popular unit is this one. Amazon.com: Wasabi Power Battery (2-Pack) and Charger for Pentax D-LI68, D-LI122 and Pentax Q, Q7, Q10, Optio A36, Optio S10, Optio S12, Optio VS20: Camera & Photo
it is recommended to get extra batteries because the Q can go through the battery life quite quickly.
The Q7 can be ordered in many color combos but the custom orders will take longer than just buying what is in stock.

You may want to check to see if the code mentioned here still works.
