Pentax q adapter longer exposure time

Aaaaand it looks like the 07 pinhole lens has no shutter installed. Which means the pinhole lens has a maximum exposure time of 2 seconds. For a pinhole lens. Not smart Pentax, not smart.

It isn't a pinhole lens. It is a 11.5mm "Mount Shield Lens" with a f9 aperture. A pinhole lens is usually about f128 or higher.

Holga makes a pinhole lens for the Q but it is almost unusable.

The 07 is a low-cost "effect" lens, giving results similar to a toy camera.

If you really needed a long exposure you could do the multiple exposure stacking technique.

Only had my Shield Mount lens a week or so. F9 is easy to use handheld in daylight. 2 second limitation only seems to matter for night stuff. F9 is much more useable than f172 or so. The Shield Mount was never meant as an all around lens. It's special.😉

The photo below shows three adapters - the one in the middle is the official Pentax one.
As you can see, the Pentax one has gold-colored conductors near the center.
You would have to duplicate them, including information provided by them, to 'trick' the Q.

Omitting the shutter makes a considerable reduction in cost .
