Beyond the 08 lens recognition,
are there any surprises hidden in the usual
"Improved stability for general performance"?

I'd love to be able to switch the ND filter
on and off through the front wheel on the original Q.

You'd need to pay for that firmware improvement.

Its called Q7

But even on the Q7, its a bit lame atm.
The quick dial has 4 positions.
If its set to ND on/off as an option, it will only have ND On or ND Off for the 4 positions.
No mix and match to other options or filters.

I'm not seeing any firmware update for the Q7. Are we still on version 1.0 for the Q7?

Thanks for the heads up! Have now updated.

But a different question re firmware. Hope it's ok to ask here. I updated the 02 lens firmware a few days back and then tried to do the same for the 01 prime one, but the camera won't let me? Will the 02 lens firmware cover both the 01 and 02? *confused*

01 lens must be installed to update the firmware. Make sure it isn't already up to date, though. The firmware menu screen will show you what version for each lens you have attached.
Each lens has its own firmware update file.

Really? When I install the 01 lens on the camera then go to the firmware menu it shows the Lens 01 firmware.
It only shows the firmware for the lens you have attached on the camera at that time.

Ah that explains it then. Have just updated it.

Meanwhile, after the 1.14 update, every time I switch it on, it goes straight to settings to change language and time. ARGGGH! anyone else getting the same thing?

I haven't done the 1.14 update yet but pretty much all the firmware updates for the Q reset your camera settings.
Make sure you are actually doing all the OK's at the date time area or it will not take.
I think there is one extra one at the bottom that everyone misses.

Hi Wolfiegirl

I guess you did not read the explanation about the update?
After every F/W update the Camera is reset to default, which means all the settings need to be
reset.

Best Regards

I must have missed a button. Because I've switched it on and off with three different sd cards (no more updates) and every time they ask me to set date etc.
