Macro extension tubes with the Q

I am curious if anyone here has any experience using extension tubes + adapted lenses to achieve macro photography. I recently purchased a set of tubes (7,14,28mm) for my Nikon F mount lenses that I will use with an F to Q Fotodiox adapter. I have had great results with nearly all of my Nikon lenses and the Fotodiox adapter. I have no idea how the extension tubes will work out!

I will post in this thread some of the results I have with a few of my lenses and the extension tubes.

If you have any macro photographs done using extension tubes (homemade too!) then please share them!

Strongly recommend to go trough this:

Macro photography is easy with the Q once you have an adapter for the right lenses and or extension tubes. You can even use macro-filters .
It all depends on what level of macro you want to dive into...

These are shot with an F2.8 F1.4 50mm c-mount CCTV lens on the Q10. The extension tubes were two rings with male and female c-mount threads.

It is this one: 50mm f 1.4 CCTV Lens for Sony NEX-6 + C Mount to Micro 4/3 Adapter + Macro Ring | eBay

I think the aperture was set to something between 5.6 and 11.
The size of the images is between about 10mm to perhaps 20mm.

This is a curious stone I came across in the countryside. Can't quite make up my mind whether it is a fossil imprint or some ancient man made artifact.

This is a picture of the Q10 with the lens and extension rings near the stone. I had shot this to give an idea of scale.

A little bigger than 1:1, assuming you put the lens at closest focus. (The lens is a normal lens, not a tele or some other complex design. The lens barrel extends 50mm at closest focus (for 1:2 reproduction). You add 68mm (unless I'm misremembering the tube lengths), which put's you 18mm further out than 1:1. That's not much on a 100mm lens.)

I just received a Q10 and have to say so far I'm quite impressed. 1:1 still, but with that tiny sensor it "feels" like more due to crop.

I have steady hands but while trying to handhold my Tammy 90 on the Q10 I could see my heatbeat move the live view. I suppose my grip and whatnot is not very developed with the Q....I keep sticking my eyeball up to the flash shoe and remember I can't focus that way lol
