Battery Charger Power Cord Alternative Idea

Hi

Most of you here may already know - but wanted to throw this out there for those of you who haven't done this. The tiny power adapter for Apple / MacBook makes carrying the charger more compact and does away with carrying the long power cord. This works with any charger that came with a removable cord.

You can find these adapters online - I happened to pick one up for 50cents at electronics flea market.

Very cool. There are tons of these knockoffs on Amazon for $3 or less.

It looks like there will be a space between the white charger head and the socket since the body of the charger head is not flush with the backside of the Pentax charging unit. Can you provide a side view photograph of what that looks like?

Thanks for looking guys! You're right EarlVon - There is a small space because the adapter is not totally flush with the back of the charger. But the AC Prongs stick out enough that its not a problem with staying securely put in the AC outlet. Pictures from the sides & top.

Good idea. It is even shorter than my customised short cable !

I had a look on electric standards. The electric connector with a cross-section in eight-shape is named IEC C7

With the keywords "C7 plug" or "C7 adapter", tons of items can be found on Ebay.

The pins can be foldable or not, perpendicular or parallel to the axis.
Here is a selection of black plugs, that suit nicely the Pentax charger
