What do people notice about your Q?

What do others who see you with your Q remark on?

I think the unusual pop-up flash is probably the one thing that usually garners comments.

Definitely the pop up flash.
And the, mini real camera look. It's just like a real one but smaller!
Oh, and the Yellow /black colour

Over the holidays, I was changing lenses and had a (slightly inebriated) relative say "ooh, did you just break your compact camera? That doesn't look good!"

Most often, I get the "wow, that is SMALL!"

I usually get something along the lines of "Oh my God, that's COOL!!!" or "Nice camera!" Oddly, no one's commented on the size yet.

I have had lots of people thinking it is a film camera. Or that it is just incredibly small. A few have brought up the K1000 or other film Pentax cameras. But overall the reaction is always positive!

I took mine to a large Christmas party and so many people thought it was an older film camera it was amusing.

I had 'that's a big lens!' referring to the 02. Not really sure how to take that

Most recently while swapping out lenses I hear, "Uhhmm... What the...What is that?"

Almost always the size of the camera is what initially generates curiosity. I've handed the Q over to several people who've asked to have a look. All impressed. One impressed enough order a Q/01 & Pentax case via her phone right on the spot. :-)

My uncle who is a retired studio engineer from one of the major television networks took the Q7 from my hand over the holidays and proceeded to shoot for the rest of the day with it. I was unsure if I was going to get my camera back! He is a dedicated Nikon man, now he is looking at Q7's on B&H for himself! To me, that is high praise.

My daughter is an Operations Producer for a network news division. She appropriated my second Q (the white one, that was still in the box) over the holidays because she "likes the color profile."

I say appropriated. I gave it to her, but had I not she would have a quired it under condition of force majeur.

I'm shamelessly whipping the lens off to get them going

An old friend was horrified I would risk 'dust on the sensor'
I hauled it off again and waved the tiny little area of megapixies at him

I like the nerdy pick your focal length screen for sucking in the aficienados...
now lets see, this Takumar is the 24...
just roll these numbers down from the 560 and select 24
helps no end with the shakes
