Remember if you shoot only raw--- you can always use the in camera JPG engine if you wonder how the photo would be processed in camera. I do that sometimes for quick images and you do it after your done shooting so it does not slow you down. Works for me for the few times I want a quick, corrected image

PS My sandisk 32g class 10 micro writes in about 3 seconds, and I can take 6-7 burst images before the buffer fills up and it slows down. Burst must be 2 fps it is pretty slow but certainly your not getting 3 seconds wait between shots? That should not be happening
