Will this tripod lens mount work with the Q

Would this typ of lens/camera mount work well with the Q adapted to various lenses? (My m-200 f4 primarily) It's about the same price as the genuine Pentax foot that fits the Q to K adaptor and I figured I could use it with my K-30 and larger lenses also. Just wondering if anyone has tried it.

The Q has a standard threaded 1/4"-20 bolt hole to screw a mounting plate into. I have my old AS plate that I use on my K100 and K5 on my Q right now. So, it just becomes a matter of the height under the body of the Q. It should work. Take a look at this post from Snostorm who has a similar setup - and using a Q.

Thanks for the info and link. I already have Manfrotto 234RC plates/mounts on my K-30, tripod and monopod, so I might give this one a try.

If you are using the genuine Q adapter for K mount lenses, the best thing available is the fanotec foot(and not very expensive) Get it with the long 100mm plate he offers to give you better balance and your set.

The fanotec foot looks good, but I have Manfrotto 234rc plates/mounts on everything. I'm thinking about the genuine pentax foot. Is it basicly the same as the Fanotec except for the rail?

Here it is: PentaxWebstore.com:Tripod Mount for DA*300MM/Q Adapter Tripod Mount for DA*300MM/Q Adapter

I just re-read the Fanotec link and I get it now. Just the foot for $35 and shipping does seem much better. Thanks!
The longest lens I'll be using is my M-200 f4 so I don't think the balance will be a problem.

NP! at first it is a little hard to "get" all the options, but yeah the foot with anti twist flange keeps it the foot from turning or twisting on a other rails or whatever, an the fanotec foot/rail combo does not need it as the foot bolts into the rail in 3 places IIRC.
