Anyone use this hood on their Q lenses?

I was thinking of getting two of these hoods.

Lens Hood Replace for Pentax Ph SBA40 5 Fit SMC 5 15mm F 2 8 4 5 Ed Al If Lens | eBay

One for the 01 lens and the other for the 02 lens.

Has anyone tried these hoods? Do they cause any vignetting?

Thanks!

I just bought this hood from ebay today for a dollar more.

I'm hoping it has the same dimensions as the Pentax branded one...

Amazon.com: PENTAX Q for lens hood PH-SBA40.5: Camera & Photo

I've purchased three cheap Chinese hoods on ebay for Pentax lenses. For the 01, 06, and 18-55mm K-mount kit lens. They have all been exact replicas of the originals.

I need hoods for all of my lenses. I guess it's time to hit ebay!

The JJC and uWinka hoods are both made by the same company. They are exact replicas of the Pentax hoods at much more reasonable prices. I have the JJC metal hood for the 01 and the plastic uWinka for the 02. I also have the plastic JJC hood for the 06 but my 06 doesn't arrive till next week.

Once my 02 hood comes in the mail I'll have exactly the same hoods for my Q lenses.

That's exactly the hood I use on my 02... It's fine. Fits well & no vignetting. I think it's a direct copy of the Pentax original.

It will on the Q7, I haven't found an aftermarket one for the 02 on the Q7 yet. If anyone knows of one please let us all know. In the meantime I have modified mine with a dremel tool and it works fine.

Aftermarket? I haven't found an OEM version yet.

Ah.... I hadn't thought of the issue it would cause because of the larger sensor of the Q7. Good info to know!

The new 02 hood (petal shape) comes with the black 02 in the Q7 Complete Kit. The 06 hood and the metal 01 hood (exactly like the 40mm Ltd. hood) are also in the kit.

I didn't even consider how well the hood would work on a Q7! The Q7 has a wider FoV so I can see vignetting happening. Thanks for pointing this out. It sounds like the hood is still OK for the 01 lens for both the Q and Q7 though.
