Will the Pentax brand hood the is designed for the 02 lens, also fit the 06 lens. I know the 06 lens has it's own special hood that is deeper I guess, but will the do just a good a job. (or can the 06 hood be used on the 02?)

This descripton also says that it will fit the 01 lens, but I don't see how that would work since the 01 doesn't have the outer threads for a hood.

The webstore descriptions there read a bit iffy (mis translated perhaps)

01 hood must screw in because there is no bayonet fitting

the 02 and 06 lens bayonet fitting look identical.

That hood would fit the 02 and the 06 but not the 01 prime as there's clearly no 40.5mm thread on it.



In any case, the after market versions of the hoods are available much cheaper on ebay.

Please be aware the 02 requires a new petal-shaped hood when uised with the Q7. The hood issued for the 02 when used on the Q (PH-SBA40.5) will vignette on the Q7. Oddly, there doesn't seem to be any USA source to obtain the new petal-shaped 02 hood PH-RBB40.5 38717 (that I have found). An Amazon Japanese seller, Best of Japan and Knock-off sellers on Amazon have the hood - pricey though.
