Q7+08 (and MX-1) in Philadephia

Took the family down to Philadelphia yesterday for the Philadelphia Flower Show, some time in Chinatown, and some brushes with history. I brought along the Q7 with 08 mounted but also brought along my MX-1 to give that a try as well. I enjoyed using both...and having both with me worked well since my daughter wanted to take pictures as well. So I let her use the MX-1 for a while.

All shots below were shot RAW and processed in Lightroom, except for the Marilyn Monroe shot which my daughter shot (in green mode) as a jpg (which was tweaked in LR).

Some shots with the Q7+08 (Lighting was terrible so spent alot of time at ISO800 and 1600 at the flower show)...

Checking out how lens flaring...

And a few with the MX-1 (the lens really makes the MX-1):

All in all, I really enjoyed using both!

Dave

I really need to save up for one of these lenses.
And you can tell your daughter the Marilyn one is very good, nicely framed actually.

Thanks Jethro...I'll let her know. She really enjoys photography so it will be fun to watch her interest as she grows to see if it stays at the "point to shoot" level or if she'll want to delve deeper into it.

Thanks guys! Both the 08 and MX-1 are a lot of fun. I bought the MX-1 on impulse when I saw a refurb going for $169 on Woot. I'm glad I picked it up. Next project is to really dive into the MX-1's macro features.
