Cormorant with Q7

Out for a boat ride with friends and shot this Cormorant catching a cat fish on the intercostal with my Q7 and 06. The boat was moving, it was in bright sun, a major major crop but the Q7 held up well. Shot in jpeg and processed in LR5 I was pleasantly surprised with the center image I had assumed all were scrap but shot anyway. I wanted to show the sequence so I also posted the other two not so good shots. The bird would dive and reposition the fish underwater until it was face first. No DLSR on the trip

Nice job Hans, very lucky catch for you and the bird. Bad day for the catfish though

The second one is very good, and the other two make the sequence work. Well done with Q7/06! Good you had this combo with you.

Super capture! Fast reflexes to get this series. The three shots certainly tell a story. Makes me feel sorry for the catfish.

This is a big benefit of the Q concept- an actual highspeed, small telephoto lens. Don't get that with any other system. Makes all the difference in the world.
thanks
